BEIJING, July 11 (TMTPOST) – Yang Rui, the Partner of International Affairs at China’s top tech and business media group, on Friday participated in the China Development Forum (CDF) webinar and hosted conversations on innovation.

Yang, a seasoned journalist and well-known anchor in China, discussed major opportunities arising from the coronavirus pandemic, the distribution of coronavirus vaccines at cost and global economic conditions in the wake of the pandemic with Stefan Oschmann, the chairman and CEO of Merck KGaA, Pascal Soriot, the CEO of AstraZeneca, and Li Tong, the CEO and Executive President of BOC International, respectively.

Launched by the State Council Development and Research Center in 2000, CDF is a high-level forum on China’s development. Since its inception, former Chinese premiers Zhu Rongji and Wen Jiabao, Apple CEO Tim Cook and WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy have attended the forum.

Due to the pandemic, the forum went online for the first time this year. Scholars, corporate executives and industry experts from the globe participated in discussions about the new challenges the world is facing.

Meanwhile, “One world in tech”-themed TMTPost online event is being held. From June 29 to July 29, industry leaders from over a dozen countries and regions provide a feast of thoughts on globalization to attendees who log in.
